Utah signed Sebastian Cossa to a two-year, $4-million deal on Tuesday, the team announced.
The Mammoth acquired the 23-year-old netminder from the Detroit Red Wings on Friday in exchange for the 23rd-overall pick in the 2026 NHL Draft. Detroit used that pick to take Kamloops Blazers forward J.P. Hurlbert.
Cossa joins the Mammoth after a solid year in the AHL.
The Hamilton, Ont., native had a 26-8-4 record with a 2.33 goals-against average and .915 save percentage over 39 games with the Grand Rapids Griffins.
He has made one NHL appearance since being drafted by Detroit in the first round, 15th overall, in 2021.
