The UFC Fight Night card in Edmonton will feature a memorable Canadian debut.
Louis Jourdain, brother of current UFC bantamweight Charles Jourdain, will make his UFC debut against Timmy Cuamba at the October event.
The Beloeil, Que., native had been competing in the Dana White Contender Series and other MMA promotions before getting his chance to follow in his brother’s footsteps.
The 29-year-old has a 9-3 professional record.
He joins Mike Malott and Jasmine Jasudavicius as Canadians participating in the event at UFC Fight Night on Oct. 17.
This will be the fourth time Edmonton has hosted a UFC event, with the last coming back on Nov. 2, 2024, for a Fight Night card headlined by a flyweight bout between Brandon Moreno and Amir Albazi.
The Edmonton event will also be the second Canadian card in 2026, after Winnipeg hosted a Fight Night back in April, headlined by a welterweight fight between Canada’s Mike Malott and Brazil’s Gilbert Burns.
Edmonton previously hosted UFC 240: Holloway vs. Edgar in 2019 and UFC 215: Nunes vs. Shevchenko 2 in 2017. All three previous events were also at Rogers Place.
