As Sánchez ranged back for an inning-ending catch off the bat of Brandon Nimmo in the top of the seventh, he stepped back onto the wall and rolled his ankle before falling to the ground.
The 28-year-old was able to walk off the field, but was replaced by pinch-hitter Davis Schneider when his spot in the order came up in the bottom half of the inning.
Toronto did not immediately announce any specifics on the injury.
Sánchez was 0-for-2 with a strikeout before exiting.
After being acquired in a February trade with the Houston Astros for Joey Loperfido, Sánchez is now batting .274 with a .753 OPS and seven homers in 73 games for the Blue Jays.
