The Toronto Blue Jays are adding a familiar left-handed reliever to their bullpen mix.
Right-handed pitcher Chad Dallas was optioned back to the triple-A Buffalo Bisons in a corresponding move.
Little, who was optioned to triple-A after struggling to start the season, pitched to a 2.31 ERA with 32 strikeouts and 19 walks over 24 appearances in the minors.
“He’s getting pretty close,” Blue Jays manager John Schneider said to reporters Friday. “I know it’s been up and down for him, but I think there’s going to come a point in time where you’ve got to see if that stuff is going to translate back up here.”
The 29-year-old southpaw had an inflated 24.55 ERA through 3.2 innings to start his 2026 major-league season, allowing three walks and three homers, including two to lefties Munetaka Murakami and Colson Montgomery in a 6-3 loss to the Chicago White Sox on April 4.
Little also struggled over the back half of 2025, posting a 4.22 ERA and 24 walks over 32 innings. However, he was dominant over the first half, striking out 52 and recording a 1.98 ERA. Little’s 91 strikeouts led all left-handed relievers last season.
The Blue Jays will now have two lefties available in the bullpen, after rolling with only one since Adam Macko was optioned back to triple-A on June 9.
