Canada remained No. 30 in the latest FIFA men’s world rankings released Monday, while World Cup champion Spain climbed back to No. 1 after its title victory.
Spain moved up one place to replace Argentina, which slipped to second after Sunday’s 1-0 extra-time loss in the World Cup final.
Canada held its position after reaching the knockout stage of the World Cup for the first time before falling 3-0 to Morocco in the round of 16.
Mexico climbed four places to 10th to return to the top 10 for the first time since March 2022.
Norway recorded the biggest rise in the rankings, jumping 12 places to 19th after reaching the World Cup quarterfinals.
Germany fell out of the top 10, dropping two places to 12th, after failing to reach the round of 16.
