A rematch nearly 13 years in the making ended in disappointment
Conor McGregor appeared to injure himself in his anticipated return to the Octagon after a five-year hiatus Saturday at UFC 329 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
Facing Max Holloway in an anticipated rematch, McGregor came out after the opening bell trying to make a flying kick and seemed to injure his right knee. After a few more seconds in the fight, the referee called the fight off just 1:09 into the bout, giving Holloway the victory.
The last time these two fighters fought, McGregor beat Holloway in a unanimous decision on Aug. 17, 2013.
