Flyers tender five-year, $90M offer sheet on Ducks’ Leo Carlsson

The Flyers tendered a five-year, $90-million offer sheet to Ducks star Leo Carlsson on Friday, the team announced.

If the Ducks choose not to match, they would receive four first-round picks from the Flyers in compensation. Anaheim has seven days to decide whether they will match.

Carlsson, 22, is coming off a breakout season in which he scored 29 goals and 67 points to help the Anaheim Ducks return to the playoffs for the first time in eight years. He added 11 points in 12 playoff games as the Ducks reached the second round.

The Ducks selected Carlsson second overall in the 2023 NHL Draft. He was selected to play for Sweden at the Winter Olympics but missed the tournament due to injury.

This is the second offer sheet to come in the last few days, with the New Jersey Devils looking to sign Utah Mammoth Forward Barrett Hayton, offering a one-year, $4.775-million deal.
