Depth centre Teddy Blueger signed a two-year, $5 million contract with the Maple Leafs on Wednesday, Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman reported.
It marks just the latest move for Leafs GM John Chayka in what has been a busy free-agency opening.
Blueger, 31, spent the past three seasons with the Vancouver Canucks, helping them earn a playoff berth in 2023-24 by centring a prolific third line.
The Riga, Latvia, native spent his first five seasons with the Pittsburgh Penguins before joining the Vegas Golden Knights at the 2023 trade deadline, earning a Stanley Cup in the process.
In 453 career games, Blueger has 58 goals and 169 points.
