The NBA’s salary cap for the 2026-27 season is set.
Announced Tuesday, the league has set the salary cap at $164.961 million.
Because of that new salary cap threshold, the new luxury tax line will be $200.428 million, the league’s salary cap floor is set at $148.465 million, the first apron is $209.015 million and the second apron is at $221.686 million.
As well, the different tiers of mid-level exception are now known with the salary cap figure in place. The non-taxpayer mid-level is $15.044 million, the taxpayer mid-level is $6.064 million, and the mid-level exception for a team with room under the salary cap is $9.366 million.
The NBA’s free agency period opened up at 6 p.m. ET / 3 p.m. PT Tuesday night and the official moratorium period begins at 12:01 a.m. ET Wednesday / 9:01 p.m. PT Tuesday.
