Happy NHL schedule release day to all who celebrate.
With the NHL putting out its full 2026-27 regular-season schedule on Thursday, teams around the league celebrated the occasion by getting creative.
Taking a page from the NFL’s playbook, the majority of the NHL’s 32 teams took to social media to share a variety of videos announcing their 84 games.
The upcoming season marks the first time since 1993-94 that the league will play 84 regular-season games each. With a total of 1,344, it will break the all-time NHL record.
