Panthers sign Eetu Luostarinen to eight-year extension

After taking big swings this off-season, the Florida Panthers are re-upping on some depth.

Forward Eetu Luostarinen has signed an eight-year, $40 million extension with the Panthers, Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman reported Wednesday.

Luostarinen is heading into the final season of a three-year, $9 million contract.

The Siilinjarvi, Finland native has spent the majority of his seven-year career in South Florida, spending just his rookie season with the Carolina Hurricanes. He won back-to-back Stanley Cups in 2024 and 2025 with the Panthers.

The 27-year-old had 11 goals and 33 points in 73 games last season. In 447 career games, he’s potted 61 goals and 162 points.
