After qualifying for the playoffs for the first time in four seasons, the Toronto Raptors have added yet another piece to their young core.
The Raptors selected forward Allen Graves out of Santa Clara 19th overall in the NBA Draft on Tuesday.
A six-foot-nine, 220-pound forward from Ponchatoula, La., Graves did a little bit of everything in his lone year at Santa Clara. He finished his freshman season averaging 11.8 points, 6.5 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.9 steals and 0.9 blocks in 22.6 minutes per game.
Graves worked off the bench for the majority of the 2025-26 season, starting in only four of 35 games, but finished third in scoring for the Broncos, helped by his 51.2 field-goal percentage and 41.3 three-point percentage.
An analytics darling, Graves led the West Coast Conference with a 139.1 offensive rating, a 29.6 player efficiency rating, .266 win shares per 40, and a 13.4 box plus-minus. His box plus-minus was the fifth best in Division I.
He was the West Coast Conference Freshman of the Year and Sixth Man of the Year.
A versatile defender capable of guarding two through four, he joins a Raptors team that prioritized flexibility on that end, spearheaded by the duo of Scottie Barnes and Collin Murray-Boyles.
The Raptors also have the 50th overall pick, with the draft’s second round scheduled for Wednesday night.
