The Toronto Sceptres family is growing.
The PWHL star, Blayre Turnbull, announced her pregnancy in an Instagram post on Monday. She also shared that the due date is in December.
The Toronto Sceptres’ captain is currently without a contract after her previous three-year contract expired at the end of the 2025-26 season.
The league is in the sixth and final phase of the expansion player distribution process, which is an open off-season signing period.
Over 30 games last season, Turnbull had nine goals and eight assists for the second-highest total points on the Sceptres.
The start of the 2026-27 PWHL season has not yet been announced, but past seasons have kicked off in late November.
