Scotland’s Grant Hardie, Robin Brydone swap curling rinks

A major swap has gone down in the curling world.

Scotland’s Grant Hardie and Robin Brydone are switching teams, Team GB announced on Monday.

Hardie will move from third on Team Bruce Mouat to the same position on the team anchored by Ross Whyte, where he will also now serve as skip.

Brydone, who was the third with Whyte, goes to the same position with Mouat.

Hardie, the 34-year-old from Dumfries, has earned a pair of Olympic silver medals alongside Mouat, Bobby Lammie and Hammy McMillan. The quartet also won a pair of world-championship gold medals as well as six Grand Slam events over the past two years.

Brydone, the 29-year-old from Perth, is coming off bronze with Whyte at worlds while also winning each of the last three Scottish men’s championships.
