The veteran goaltender and two-time Vezina Trophy winner has agreed to a three-year, $21-million deal with the Maple Leafs, Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman reported on Wednesday.
Bobrovsky, 37, leaves the Florida Panthers after seven seasons in which he won two Stanley Cups.
However, he struggled last season to a .877 save percentage, his worst mark over his Panthers career.
The Panthers, who played all season without captain Aleksander Barkov, missed the playoffs last season but will now turn the net over to Jacob Markstrom as they look to return to the post-season.
Toronto, meanwhile, has an opening in net after dealing Joseph Woll to the Philadelphia Flyers earlier this off-season. Bobrovsky led the Panthers past the Maple Leafs in Round 2 of the playoffs in two of the last four seasons.
