A day after making a deal with the Buffalo Sabres, the Sharks traded a fourth (104th overall) and fifth-round pick (157th) in the 2026 draft, in exchange for forward Andre Gasseau and a 2026 fourth (120th).
The Bruins now hold eight picks in the draft beginning next Friday.
As for Gasseau, he joins the Sharks after being taken in the seventh round by the Bruins in 2021. The 22-year-old has yet to make his NHL debut. He spent the 2025-26 season with the NCAA’s Boston College, recording six goals and 17 assists.
Gasseau has totalled 109 points (43 goals, 66 assists) over 131 career games with the Eagles.
The trade comes just one day after San Jose acquired defenceman Michael Kesselring from Buffalo in a deal that involved swapping first-round picks this year. The Sharks gave the 20th selection to the Sabres and dropped down to pick No. 27.
