Wings’ Bueckers to miss game vs. Liberty with soreness

The Dallas Wings will be without their star for at least one game.

Paige Bueckers will miss Monday night’s contest against the New York Liberty while she deals with lingering soreness from a fall on Sunday, per the team.

Bueckers collided with Nneka Ogwumike, took a hard fall and hit her head on the floor in the final four minutes of the Wings’ win over the Los Angeles Sparks on Monday. Both players remained on the floor for several minutes following the fall but Ogwumike eventually returned to play. Bueckers did not.

Bueckers was cleared from having a concussion in a post-game evaluation and is not currently in WNBA concussion protocol.

Monday’s game was originally to be played on Thursday but was was rescheduled after a mechanical issue with the charter flight from New York meant the Liberty were stuck on the tarmac and delayed 10 hours.
