Victor Neuchev played hero for the Wolves, scoring 3:18 into the extra frame.
Jacob Quillan, Luke Haymes and Ryan Tverberg scored in regulation for Toronto while Bradly Nadeau, Domenick Fensore and Justin Robidas tallied for Chicago.
The Marlies are in search of their second Calder Cup in franchise history, after winning their first in the 2017-18 season.
Game 5 will take place in Toronto on Friday (7 p.m. ET on Sportsnet 360, FloHockey).
